The Walnut Hills Boys Rugby Club, based at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the only rugby club team in the city. This unique position allows us to welcome high school students from any school in the Greater Cincinnati area, including those without rugby programs. We are dedicated to shaping young lives through the sport of rugby, where we believe that a well-played game can inspire a life well-lived.

Fall 7s Rugby Season Kicks Off – Join Us!
The Walnut Hills Boys Rugby Club is excited to kick off our Fall 7s season and get back on the field for another fast-paced and competitive fall. Fall 7s is a great opportunity for returning players to sharpen their skills and for new players to give rugby a try in a fun, open environment.
Fall 7s Practices
Fall 7s Practices
Practices begin Tuesday, August 25 at Withrow High School and will be held:
Tuesdays and Thursdays
4:00–6:00 PM
We will also offer optional speed and fitness sessions on:
Wednesdays and Fridays
3:30–4:30 PM
These optional sessions are a great chance for players to improve conditioning, speed, movement, and overall fitness outside of regular team practices.
What Is Fall 7s?
What Is Fall 7s?
Rugby 7s is a faster version of the game played with seven players per side. With more open space and fewer players on the field, 7s emphasizes:
Passing and ball skills
Speed and fitness
Decision-making
Support play and teamwork
Open-field attack and defense
It is a great way for experienced players to develop their game and an excellent introduction for athletes who are new to rugby.

Starting in the spring of 2021, Walnut Hills will play in the Greater Miami Rugby Conference as part of Rugby Ohio's move to more regional conferences. For more info, please go to Rugby Ohio - Regional Conferences.
While the WHRFC is only for High School aged players, there are opportunities for Middle School students that are interested in playing as well. Rookie Rugby Cincinnati offers programs for boys and girls starting from K-8. For more information, please check out the Rookie Rugby Cincinnati website.
