Spring 15s Rugby Season Kicks Off – Join Us!
The Walnut Hills Boys Rugby Club is excited to kick off our Spring 15s season and begin preparations for another competitive year. We’ll start with preseason skills sessions designed to build fundamentals, fitness, and confidence for both returning and new players.
Preseason Skills Sessions
Practices will begin Thursday, January 22 and will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00–7:30 PM in the Walnut Hills Tennis Bubble until weather allows us to move outdoors.
These sessions focus on:
No prior rugby experience is necessary. If you’ve ever been curious about rugby, this is the perfect time to try it.
Once conditions improve, practices will move outdoors to Marx Stadium, shifting to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30–5:30 PM. We’ll communicate clearly when that transition happens.
All high school boys are welcome to participate. We have a strong returning core but are always looking to add new players. Rugby welcomes athletes of all sizes and backgrounds, and we teach everything from the ground up.
To get started, interested players should complete the player interest form on our website or contact the coaching staff directly by email. Once we have your information, we’ll share next steps and team communication details.
Players will need a mouthguard, cleats (once outdoors), and plenty of water.
Whether you’re brand new to rugby or a returning player, spring 15s is a great opportunity to develop your skills, compete, and be part of a team that values camaraderie, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship.
Come out, get involved, and see what Walnut Hills Rugby is all about — we’d love to have you on the pitch this spring!
